Pictures of alleged Windows 7 box shots appeared last month with many users analysing them in detail and coming to the conclusion that they were most likely photoshopped. The discussion was going back and forth but no one could really say that the boxes were indeed real of fake.
An indirect confirmation is now available in the form of boxes that are being shown int he Microsoft Store. Indirect because the store page displays three of the boxes that were leaked last month but does not mention explicitely that these are the boxes that Windows 7 will be sold in. It is however very unlikely that Microsoft will change the box art after showing the boxes in the store.
The store page shows the Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Home Premium boxes which are very likely to appear in that form in retail outlets. This also increases the chance that the upgrade box art that was shown last month is also the real deal
